WTQA stands for Wushu, Tai Chi, and Qigong here in Australia. 

We are an association of students, practitioners, instructors, & schools who have banded together to help promote & develop the Chinese martial & healing arts across Australia. We are united in our passion & our shared experience of the far-reaching benefits found in practicing these arts. Our aim is to share this passion with you by offering this link to some of the best WTQA approved instructors, classes & schools available in Australia.


These arts have been around for thousands of years & have been the mainstay of good health & well-being since time immemorial. No matter the style or the discipline, it is our aim to share the practice of Wushu, Tai Chi & Qigong with you; to encourage your participation at whichever level you choose; to help you in gentle morning practice or in a vibrant competitive sporting arena. These arts allow & encourage participation on many levels - the only thing for you to do is to choose your starting point...

SO WHAT - IF WE MAY ASK - BRINGS YOU HERE...?

Curiosity? Suggestion from a friend? Referred by your doctor? 
More often than not, we are any one of the following: struggling with health issues, bored at the gym, isolated on the walking track, starved for mental stimulation, tired, depressed, looking for an outlet or an escape from the same old routine. We have all been on the search for something to lift our spirits & to improve our well-being. Some have invested years pursuing practices that didn’t resonate & some of us didn’t know what we were looking for until we found it.
Inspired by books, movies, and demonstrations; encouraged by family, friends, and teachers - all of us found our way, our health, our well-being in Wushu, Tai Chi, or Qigong. All of us have found something special, perhaps an answer to what we were looking for or a surprise we weren't expecting, but, together, we found a common purpose. Here are some of our stories...

Wu Shu has helped Michael to <do something, overcome something>.

The WTQA formed for the common purpose, shared by each and every one of our members, to promote and demonstrate the belief that people can accomplish anything when they put their hearts and minds to it.
